Raise hell in a seriously warped, fantasy action RPG.

Overlord Raising Hell immerses you in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios, featuring angry dwarves, wimpy elves and messed up zombies.

After becoming the all-powerful Overlord, you learn how to master a horde of impish creatures, called minions. Controlling them successfully is crucial if you want to wipe out your foes and conquer the land.

This critically-acclaimed title comes to PlayStation®3, complete with exclusive features and Raising Hell downloadable content.

  • Control a horde of minions who will smash, destroy, kill and steal anything for you
  • New features include onscreen mini-map, enhanced visuals and 7.1 Surround Sound, plus DUALSHOCK®3 compatibility
  • Raising Hell content adds five new realms and additional multiplayer options

Evil is as evil does

Unleash your minion horde in Overlord: Raising Hell on PlayStation®3 and free your inner tyrant.

Unearthed from a tomb-like slumber by your loyal minions, you awaken to discover your former power, once absolute, is now a mere shadow of its former glory. Your tower lies in ruins, peasants no longer fear to speak your name, and so-called heroes have liberated the realm from the yoke of oppression.

Armed and armoured as befits your dark nature, with a growing horde of crazed, impish minions at your command it is time to set wrong the rights of this land. It is time to search your heart and, to quote Blix from Ridley Scott's 1985 film Legend, discover if it is, "black as midnight, black as pitch, blacker than the foulest witch."

As the Overlord of these lands you strive to regain your former dark glory, rebuild your tower and reassert your dominance. At your command are four different types of minions: Browns, Reds, Greens and Blues. Browns are your fighters, the muscle of your horde, Reds are your own twisted little fire starters, Greens are venomous wretches, and Blues are aquatic runts with the power to resurrect. Fresh from the grave, you command a few Browns to begin with, and as you're restored to unhealth your horde soon grows to encompass up to 50 minions.

Though small in stature, these manically loyal critters are your greatest weapon. Gremlin-like in appearance and comedic in their behaviour, when not selling short their often brutal lives fulfilling your every whim, they will most likely be found drinking and pillaging. Intelligent to a degree, they will arm and armour themselves with whatever is at hand, be it the spoils of the fallen or the fallen themselves; often a minion can be spied sporting a fashionable dead rat hat and wielding a zombie's arm!

Controlling these critters is very simple; using the right stick you can directly control the horde's movement, sweeping them over the land like a plague of gibbering and crazed locusts. Different colours can be quickly selected as well, allowing you to split your forces, holding some in reserve or sending others to take higher ground. Minions can also be dispatched to fetch and carry, bringing items back to your tower such as a crane to begin rebuilding, a forge to create new weapons and armour, and even peasant girls to act as your slaves.

How evil you are is your choice, reflected in the look and feel of your abode and appearance. Will you stick with your first mistress, or throw her aside for another? Will you spare the peasants you subjugate and demand their loyalty or crush them utterly spreading fear and terror? These choices affect the way other characters will react, from treating you foolishly as a hero to grovelling in your presence and offering you their firstborn as tribute.

Tongue-in-cheek, Overlord: Raising Hell will take you on a seriously twisted fantasy adventure. A smart satire on established role playing game conventions and clichés, penned by game writer Rhianna Pratchett, author of Heavenly Sword, Overlord is a darkly humorous treat for old school dungeon fans and RPG aficionados alike.

Overlord: Raising Hell on PlayStation 3 includes both the original game and the Raising Hell expansion pack, which takes you deeper into the Overlord's warped world with a series of additional levels, each a supernatural abyss for the game's five kingdoms.

Evil awakens this winter on PlayStation 3 with Overlord: Raising Hell.
