The Game Critics Awards is a group of independent global media outlets that each year conduct a Best of E3 Awards, recognising gaming excellence and innovation as demonstrated at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, CA. Among the critics included some of the world's most recognisable names such as Wired, The Los Angeles Times, Gamespot, IGN, Kotaku and many more.

The highly anticipated Star Wars Battlefront took home Best Action Game and Best Online Multiplayer. Combining an unprecedented collaboration with Lucasfilm and the award-winning Frostbite game engine, Star Wars Battlefront will deliver an incredibly authentic and immersive interactive entertainment experience featuring photorealistic visuals and epic action in iconic Star Wars locations.
Best Independent Game went to No Man's Sky. Set in a vast universe created by Hello Games, it's a game without limits; a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generated universe.
Need For Speed was awarded Best Racing Game, with the latest instalment bringing together 20 years of history and inspiration from some of the most beloved games in the venerable franchise, to create this definitive Need for Speed experience.
EA SPORTS FIFA 16 took home Best Sports Game, with new and innovative gameplay features delivering a balanced, authentic and exciting football experience that lets fans play their way - and for the first time in the history of the franchise, will feature 12 Women's National Teams.
