Motion slickness
Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves is a brand new adventure set in a world of fiery peril and hulking dinosaurs, illustrating the fun that can be had when our playful hero gets his mitts on a PlayStation Move motion controller.
As well as introducing Sackboy to the wonders of PS Move, Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves features ten absurdly addictive, sprawling levels that present you with a unique set of conundrums to solve and obstacles to overcome before the final confrontation with Evil Big Rex, the domineering ruler of this ancient land.
The best news is you don't need LittleBigPlanet or LittleBigPlanet 2 to play Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, as it's a stand alone game. For those desperate to see just how well Sackboy and PS Move combine, it's a tantalising glimpse of new possibilities. It's also the ideal opportunity for newcomers to meet Sackboy for the first time, in some of the most colourful surroundings and carefully crafted set pieces anywhere on PlayStation 3.
What you do need, however, is at least one friend to help you through it, because this is a game that requires both a motion controller and a DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller, leading to some standout co-operative play opportunities. With trophy support and every reason to play though repeatedly to discover hidden Special Bubbles, Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves is a joy to experience for every member of the family.
Download Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves from PlayStation Store now and let the diminutive star move you and your friends.
Multiplayer
Two-pronged assault
Team up with up to four other friends to overcome the mighty Evil Big Rex and the treacherous world he rules thanks to levels engineered by the madcap Terence Dactyl, for some of the finest multiplayer mayhem since LittleBigPlanet.
Assign one of your friends the PlayStation Move motion controller and they will lead from the front, flicking switches, manipulating dinosaur skeletons and triggering huge platforms to help the players controlling different versions of Sackboy using their DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controllers to pick their way across the tricky terrain.
The Sackboy characters bounce and bundle their way through the landscape, negotiating rivers of fire, jumping across giant dino heads and beating their way through dense jungle. Hurdles litter the landscape, which is where your motion controller-toting comrade comes in.
Bright pink panels adorn features that PS Move can interact with. In one example, a roaming dinosaur can be brought to heel so that the other players can hop aboard and get a lift through a bustling prehistoric city. Another set piece sees the way ahead blocked by a pit of toxic gas – and by asking for two bony platforms to be raised with the motion controller, the gas can be skipped over with no harm done.
Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves fuses two gameplay styles together to give the Sackboy players and PS Move user two distinct roles – one leaping through the levels, one sitting back to analyse each level for solutions – and the result is one of the most inventive experiences on PlayStation 3.
