Autobots, roll out
TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon on PlayStation 3 is a prequel story that takes place prior to the events of the blockbuster film currently playing in screens around the world throughout summer 2011.
The game, from Transformers: War for Cybertron developer High Moon Studios, kicks into action three years after the events of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The Autobots and the Decepticons are still at war and the battle grows worse with each passing day on Earth.
Now, it's up you to grab your wireless controller and take control of multiple Autobots including Bumblebee, Ironhide and Optimus Prime and plant a virus in the Decepticon's network systems in order to draw them out of hiding and destroy them once and for all.
In TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon there is a huge roster of classic characters for you to get to grips with including Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and the trigger happy robot warrior, Ironhide.
When playing as the Decepticons you'll get the chance to take on the roles of some of their most devious robots including Starscream, who can transform into a fighter jet, and Megatron. Megatron is the most powerful Decepticon of all thanks to his ability to transform into a tank and drain the life force from opponents.
Alongside these Autobots and Decepticons you'll also get the chance to play as Soundwave, Mirage and even Ratchet in both the multiplayer and campaign modes.
TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon on PlayStation 3 is a third person action adventure game that takes place in a variety of locations throughout the globe including the jungles of South America, the streets of Detroit and a secret underground facility in Siberia.
Throughout the campaign mode you'll control both the Autobots and the Decepticons in seven different missions that allow you to see the battle for Earth from both sides. Each Autobot and Decepticon has two weapons to choose from, which can be fired using the R2 button on your wireless controller.
You can switch between both weapons by pressing the Triangle button and activate various special attacks by quickly tapping the L1 or R1 buttons. Your special attacks take time to recharge after firing, so be sure to use them wisely in battles - especially against some of the gargantuan bosses.
Autobots and Decepticons can transform into vehicles including a fighter jet, truck and even a heavily armoured tank. To transform, press the L3 button down. Once in the shape of a vehicle you can take more damage than you would in robot form. You can also fire weapons using the R2 button on your wireless controller.
