Story
Modern warfare
Welcome to the world of The Network, a mysterious company whose motto is this: modern problems require modern solutions. The role of The Network in modern combat is a simple one.
When particular conflicts cannot be resolved by the United Nations or another governing body, they call upon highly trained operatives working under the guise of the illusive organisation to resolve matters. That operative is you.
Caught in the middle of a blistering battle between various warring factions, your latest mission is going to your toughest one yet. Lock and load, soldier.
Gameplay
Weapons hot
In Bodycount on PlayStation 3, you wield an expanding arsenal of high-powered weaponry including pistols, machine guns and sniper rifles as well as having a number of devastating explosives at your disposal.
The goal in each mission is simple: destroy your enemy and gather any intelligence you have been directed to locate. Throughout each mission you are rewarded with intelligence points, which can be collected from fallen foes. The more valuable the target, the more points you gain.
As you collect points, a special meter wheel located in the bottom left hand corner of the screen will fill up. Each section of the wheel includes a special skill including Explosive Bullets, WMD Airstrike and even a Target Pulse Wave.
Be sure to try and chain your attacks by shooting at explosive barrels or performing critical hits. The more attacks you chain, the more points you're rewarded in battle, which means your special ability meter will fill faster.
The action is fast and furious in Bodycount, so here's a handy hint that will help you stay alive much longer - get to cover. Once you're in cover, you can lean and peek by pressing down and holding the L2 button on your wireless controller. But be warned - all cover erodes over time, so make sure you move between it.
Multiplayer
Take The Network online
Once you have completed a mission in Bodycount, you can replay it as many times as you like in order to set new high scores. Then, when you think you've mastered a level, you can challenge your friend to beat your top score.
Bodycount also features a number of multiplayer modes that can be played via PlayStation Network. This includes an online co-operative mode, where you and a friend must battle hordes of attacking enemies for as long you possibly can.
Other modes such as Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch can be played with up to 11 of your friends via PlayStation Network. Good luck, soldier. On this battlefield, you'll need it.
