While the junk planet in WALL-E throws you into a sad wasteland of robotic decay.

Disney Universe is full of character and polished presentation which is sure to entertain children and adults alike. Even if you're not familiar with Disney movies, the game's inventive and accessible style makes it a joy to experience. Welcome to the amazing world of Disney Universe on PlayStation 3, a virtual theme park where you can play in some of the most popular movies ever created by Disney and Pixar. It's not all harmless fun, however...

The theme park's computer guide, Virtual Information Cube (or VIC for short) has been corrupted into his alter-ego HEX, turned off the safety barriers and captured some of the park's guests. It's up to you - suit up in your favourite Disney character outfit, defeat HEX and save the guests in any way you can.

Using the six varied environments of Pirates of the Caribbean, WALL-E, Aladdin, The Lion King, Monsters Inc. and Alice, Disney Universe is a rip-roaring action adventure where you have to battle hundreds of robotic foes, solve puzzles and complete challenges to triumph.

Using a simple two button control scheme, the gameplay is easy to pick up, fast and fun for all ages. Each world features clear objectives, such as building a cannon, finding specific items and clearing a path, with in-game arrows offering help if you need it.

While you're constantly battling enemies, the variation and imagination in each level is impressive. One moment you're firing cannon balls at cardboard hyenas on the African savannah, the next you've been turned into a zombie to travel through cursed waters. Then you'll shoot a giant evil mermaid to collect her tears in order to free a trapped guest, before being forced into a thrilling escape from the Cave of Wonders as boiling lava threatens to consume you.

With lots of secret areas and items to discover, Disney Universe is challenging and rewarding. There are over 45 costumes to unlock, each based on popular Disney and Pixar characters such as Tron's Cora and The Jungle Book's Baloo, so there's plenty to keep you coming back for more than just the bare necessities.

Multiplayer

"You ain't never had a friend like me!"

Disney Universe on PlayStation 3 comes alive with friends by your side. Up to four players can enjoy this fast paced action adventure, where you co-operate to defeat the evil HEX - and compete for the highest scores. It's a fun filled ride through six environments, where mischief and comedy are the big attractions.

The enjoyment of playing Disney Universe with others is through its variety and brilliant sense of humour. While you're firing giant sugar cubes at teacups to complete an objective, your friends can help by keeping enemies at bay. Or if they want to make life difficult, they can throw bombs at you and collect all the precious coins you drop - and then taunt you with a cheeky character wave.

It's up to you how you play the instantly accessible and easy to pick up Disney Universe, which is why it's a perfect family game. There's plenty of chances to create trouble for your partners, as well as help them succeed. And you don't need to worry about a game over screen either, as losing all your character's energy only means they lose coins. Just make sure you scoop them up quicker than the other players...

With the ability to choose your favourite levels to play, a Player Area which details all your statistics and hilariously entertaining challenges, Disney Universe is an essential multiplayer experience.
