Story

The dynamic duo are back with triple trouble

Life is a roller coaster ride of action for our heroes, Jak and Daxter - and you can enjoy all the drama of their adventures in The Jak and Daxter Trilogy on PlayStation 3. Combining three of their PlayStation 2 hits - Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II: Renegade and Jak 3 - this irresistible package is the perfect introduction to their wild antics, as well as an unmissable purchase for any Jak and Daxter fan.

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy starts your journey in style. The daring duo are thrown into a quest to revert Daxter back into a man after an accidental dip into some Dark Eco changes him into a furry Ottsel. Only the wise sage Gol Acheron can help them, but not before they complete a few missions...

Following immediately on from the first game, Jak II: Renegade takes a much darker turn. Fired 300 years into the future, Jak is taken prisoner by Baron Praxis, ruler of the hostile Haven City. Angry and bitter from being the victim of cruel experiments for two years, Jak swears revenge. And so begins a deadly fight for not just the soul of the city, but also for our once innocent hero...

By the time Jak 3 begins, life is no easier for poor Jak and Daxter. Left for dead in the harsh Wasteland, the duo find themselves fighting for their lives in the savage lands of Spargus City. Survival is the goal - and only you can save our champions...

Their greatest hits in High Definition

Presentation

Their greatest hits in High Definition

No matter which of the terrific trio of titles you start in The Jak and Daxter Trilogy on PS3, you can expect a feast for your eyes. Featuring impressively sharp High Definition visuals and memorable characters, each chapter of the trilogy is a delight to play, improving on the excellent PlayStation 2 originals in every way.

The Jak and Daxter Trilogy always aims to keep you on your toes with a variety of moods and styles. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is bright and colourful, full of light-hearted cartoon humour. While its sequels Jak II: Renegade and Jak III are much darker, the heroes of the hour remain charismatic throughout.

A witty script and great voice acting also help present a believable world of fun and peril, as context sensitive music changes to reflect the danger you're in. Don't get too worried, though. Daxter is always ready to lighten the mood or offer clues to your next mission if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed.

If you have a stereoscopic 3D compatible TV, then The Jak and Daxter Trilogy really comes to life, its incredible interactive environments popping out of the screen and throwing you into a brave new world. Are you ready to go on a journey like no other?

A Jak of all trades

Gameplay

A Jak of all trades

Action adventuring took an exciting leap into a new realm when Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy launched on PlayStation 2 back in 2001. Over a decade later, the popular duo have featured in a massive series of games - and there's no better place to start than The Jak and Daxter Trilogy on PlayStation 3.

On-screen tutorials help you get into the swing of its non-stop action, making the gameplay easy to follow. You'll need to pay attention, too - The Jak and Daxter Trilogy is full of fantastic set pieces and a variety of genres to keep you busy.

Each of the three games begins with a little platforming fun to ease you in, before launching into a spectacular mixture of missions. From herding yaks and collecting items, to racing in desert buggies and hijacking hover jets, you're always on the go. And, each task is enjoyable thanks to some intuitive controls and slick attention to detail that makes you feel like you're in a magical - and deadly - faraway land.

With a trio of titles under its belt, The Jak and Daxter Trilogy offers incredible value for money. Each game is an addictive challenge, and with a treasure trove of secrets you'll want to explore every corner of our hapless heroes' world. Don't let them down.
