1970 South America. Your mission: become Snake and infiltrate. Welcome to Metal Gear Solid.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops redefines the stealth action genre for PSP with a deep and engrossing original storyline that follows on from the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, packing in ground-breaking online play that lets players recruit comrades to form a unique fighting force.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops follows the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, as Big Boss establishes FOXHOUND in an attempt to hunt down the treacherous FOX unit, which has started a bloody revolt in South America. Set in 1970, the game serves as the missing link in the epic Metal Gear saga, as you learn more about characters in the Metal Gear universe such as Para-Medic, Major Zero and Sigint while witnessing Big Boss's greatest tragedy - a loss that sets into motion the events of later games in the Metal Gear Solid timeline.

Best Bit:
Being led deep into the weaving Metal Gear storyline, discovering information about characters that come to play a major role in later Metal Gear games.
